My calling in life and what God has called me to is #helping people. Ever since I was young I have had a passion for all sorts of individuals, whether that is children, teenagers, adults, or older people. My whole life, I have been involved in the Church, whether in Bulgaria, San Diego, or Los Angeles County. I desire to work in a hospital setting, where I can fulfill my calling on my life and #assist and care for people in a #committed and #confident way. I desire to bear the image of Jesus and follow in His steps by serving others the way that He served them. God put us on earth to bear His image, and therefore we need to reflect God in everything that we set out to do. #Bearing the image of God entails me particularly, to spread the Gospel in the hospital setting where I will be working and telling everyone that I encounter of the Good News. Furthermore, I am called to restore the image of God, which encompasses seeking out the places that have forgotten God and His image and speak out against the injustices that I see and bring about awareness regarding the many ways that God is being neglected in people’s lives. In the workplace and society that I end up working, my role and calling is to use the talents that God has given me in order to confront the injustices in society. In addition, my calling also includes to make the most out of every day that I have been given on this earth. Wherever I am at every single day, I am given certain resources at my disposal in order to fulfill my calling in life. My degree, work experience and social skills are all contingent on the fact that I can #transform the world through my individual skills in the work environment that I end up going into. Besides these skills, I am also #bilingual which will open many doors for me and help me to connect certain people.

With all of these skills that I have acquired throughout the years and been blessed with, I would like to work as Surgical Technologist in a hospital setting. As a surgical technologist, I would prepare operating rooms and ensure that all of the equipment needed for the procedure is properly disinfected and assembled. I would also check that the equipment is in working order and place sterile solutions in areas where they can be easily reached by doctors. I will have to work as a member of a health care team alongside physicians and surgeons, registered nurses, and other workers in the hospital. In addition to helping prepare for and carry out surgeries, I may also prepare, care for and dispose of specimens taken for lab analysis. With patients, my roles may also include applying dressings and helping ease patients into recovery rooms. Because a surgical technologist’s role is very vital in the surgical process, it is important to stay #calm and collected, even under the most stressful situations. With my Christian background, I #trust that God will help me to #succeed in this career while dealing with so many different people.
